We as Black people already know a terrible truth that white people don’t want to hear: the cornerstone of these calls for unity to disregard accountability and punishment is the fact that white centrists have more compassion for the more racist, sexist, xenophobic fascist whites than for nonwhites those who are hurt by those fascist policies. It’s almost like they love white fascists more than they love their not-fascist white selves.
