Facebook is so woven into many people’s online operations that it can be hard to leave. There are a number of anti-racism ventures I’m involved with that use the group feature as a useful place for people to connect. I’d like to see that change, but I don’t see it happening any time soon.

I am concerned about the suppression on every social media site, though. If it’s not algorithms, it’s people getting upset by BIPOC talking about racism. But if we don’t talk about it, how will people know what needs to change?
