I did the same, mostly, with similar results.

…ns may completely dominate a reader’s home page and flood it with stories that don’t interest them. I found that by unfollowing all large publications and those that churn out story after story that I don’t read, my home page instantly became more relevant and interesting to me. But that also means I risk not discovering new writers and topics with refreshing new stories that I want to read.

I did the same, mostly, with similar results. However, I do occasionally search for topics that interest me, and there’s nearly always something here on Medium.
