Secondly, we can’t simply vaccinate citizens from individual rich countries and expect to be done with the virus. We need to vaccinate the majority of people in the world — whether they be in rich or poor countries, to stand a chance at defeating this virus. So again, the need to focus on the collective as in the whole world rather than on the individual — one country — and a rich one at that resonates here as well.

I keep having this conversation with people. I’m not sure the leaders get it. Some countries are handing out booster shots while others haven’t got any vaccine at all! So wrong!
