So true, April M. Hamm. But that just makes the racism more overt. I recently saw some research on hiring practices (in tech, I think it was). The article hasn’t been published yet, but it was notable that in many locations, Black people had a much reduced chance of getting an interview, let alone getting the job.
We all know people with stories about this. I am waiting to see if this latest impetus to uncover racism and implicit bias will actually result in change.
