… imperfect, and cruel. When Blacks receive justice, it is almost always as Calvin Candie’s bitches. For the police to shoot a White man, for example, they must prove they are entitled to kill him. Yet, somehow, a Black man is engaged as not entitled to survive absent him proving up his right to live.
