Yes, I’m Still Writing About Anti-Racism
2 min readFeb 15, 2024
Hello, Medium, it’s been a while. Here’s my catchup on what’s happened since my last update more than 18 months ago:
- My book, I’m Tired of Racism, is now available in paperback and the audiobook was just released. You can see everywhere it’s available on books2read.
- I’m almost out of the freelance writing business, with just one client left.
- I joined my colleague Lea Jovy as co-founder of Mission Equality, a company focused on solving inequality, discrimination, oppression and harm — and an unsustainable way of living and working — by building an alternative ecosystem to capitalism, that we call Equalism. Leadership education programmes built on a foundation of anti-racism are one way we do that.
- My main website’s now been updated to reflect what I do now rather than what I did in the past, and I’ve updated my LinkedIn profile a bit too.
- I moved my anti-racism newsletter from Substack and it’s now hosted on beehiiv. I’m still doing interviews and curations and I added a premium podcast. Some of the popular posts recently include:
- Help! I’m White And My Children Are Black — How Do I Support Them?
- Following My Ancestry
- What Happens if You Screw Up as an Ally?
On a personal level, some of you’ll remember that I was fundraising a few years back for my daughter to go to college early. She’s now doing her Master’s in the UK.
Well, that’s my news. What’s been happening for you, writer friends?
