… women gain that right. Upward mobility for Black people often sacrifices progress for Black women. The Black community must acknowledge that the harmful impacts of misogynoir and colorism hurt Black women specifically. We have so many things that we can come together on, but that cannot happen while diminishing Black women’s hard work.
